About Me
My family and I moved to Erie 15 years ago, and we absolutely love being part of this community. I’m running because I want to make sure that we always keep the small-town feel and sense of community that drew us all here in the first place. We have toomuch at stake to stop new businesses from entering or preventing new housing, including affordable housing, from being built. And we cannot allow Oil & Gas companies to come back in and operate with impunity.
In my day job, I’m a senior program manager in the aerospace industry, with responsibility for leading cross-functional teams and rigorously managing multi-million dollar budgets and timetables for execution. I have worked in the Defense and Aerospace industry for the past 20 years – along with owning a growing small business – and you could say that developing, building, and launching satellites and advanced instrumentation into Earth’s orbit has prepared me to serve as your mayor in lots of ways.
I was born and raised in Detroit, and I am forever grateful to my parents and community for instilling a blue-collar work ethic and values. I have four amazing kids, and we enjoy traveling, spending time outdoors, and getting involved with various community causes. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering Technology from Prairie View A&M University, a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Penn State University, as well as Certifications as a Program Management Professional (PMP), Scaled Agile Framework Enterprise (SAFe) Practitioner, Apollo Root Cause Analysis Practitioner, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Practitioner.
